Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. A late cancel or not showing for a scheduled appointment will result in a $100 charge. There is a 15 minute grace period for client and therapist to arrive for appointment. The sessions will be honored for the 50 or 75 minute scheduled time frame.
How do I know if this is a good fit for me?
The relationship between you and your therapist is the greatest indicator of success in therapy. We offer a free 10-minute phone consultation to help you decide if you would like to schedule an initial session. This will be during the initial phone call to schedule your first session.
What are the options for how sessions held?
Therapy sessions are able to be held either at our office or virtually. For an additional fee and on a case by case basis, concierge services may be available to hold sessions in clients home or other public meeting space. Concierge services will be determined during initial intake.
What can I expect from the first session?
The first session will be an intake where we explore what brings you to therapy, any concerns, history, and discuss goals for future sessions. If you are interested in concierge services to meet in-home or in a public space, this will also be discussed and terms agreed upon.
How many sessions will I need?
Effective treatment has a beginning, middle, and end. Therapy is meant to focus on your specific goals. I will collaborate with you to determine how to meet those desired goals so you are fully aware of what we are working towards.
What if my partner doesn't want to attend therapy but our relationship needs help?
This is still a great time to attend therapy as change within the relationship can still be made. Often when a hesitant partner commits to attend one session, their commitment increases once they feel their perspective is heard. It is also possible to benefit from individual services if there is still resistance.
Do you offer a "Good Faith Estimate"?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy care will cost. Under the federal law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of services prior to the start of treatment. Therapy is individualized so this will be discussed with you and your therapist. Due to the nature of therapy services it is difficult to estimate the number of sessions necessary. Prior to engaging in therapy, you will be provided with the initial consent forms that detail the cost of the session and what to expect with services. During the intake session and treatment planning we will discuss anticipated timelines of treatment and frequency.
